A modern twist on the tale of Hades and Persephone. I really enjoyed the tandem read, being able to experience the story from both points of view.
Seeing what everyone thinks the underworld is like, and then learning its truth was a fresh take - also seeing how it's an illusion born of Hades power and his love for those in his care. There is some good character development for both Hades and Persephone and I hope to see more from both of them in future books.
One of my favorite parts on how these two books are written is being able to experience the spice scenes from both points of view. Understanding their differing perspectives during the same time periods and seeing how one set of actions influences the other person and vice versa.
