There aren’t enough words to explain how completely obsessed I was with this book! It gave me everything I love in a summer romance — a charming, slightly naïve bookstore manager (who just so happens to be a total heartthrob) and a broody fisherman with commitment issues and a hidden soft spot the size of the ocean. Their chemistry is undeniable, and watching them circle each other emotionally was just the right mix of tension and tenderness. He’s the black sheep of his family, she’s just trying to mind her own bookish business — it shouldn’t work, but it so does.
Add in a surprise book-themed scavenger hunt — complete with anonymous clues — and it was impossible not to fall in love with this story. It was cute, cozy, flirty, and had just the right dash of mystery to keep the pages turning. This is the kind of book that makes you smile while you read and wish you could experience it all over again for the first time. Honestly? I’d reread it just to feel that spark again.
