Review

I originally picked up Immortal Dark on a total whim—honestly, it was the gorgeous cover that caught my eye. Little did I know, a friend of mine also owned it but had never read it, so we decided it had to become a buddy read. And oh boy… we were instantly hooked. I’ve always loved stories set in school-like settings, and Immortal Dark nails that vibe perfectly. Add vampires into the mix, and you’ve basically hit my sweet spot. After finishing the first book, I was completely obsessed with the story, the characters, and the intricate world Tigest Girma has built. So, when Eternal Ruin was announced, my excitement practically knew no bounds.

On top of that, we were lucky enough to participate in Tigest Girma’s first U.S. book tour. Meeting her, hearing her talk about her books, her world, and even getting a few sly hints about book three was such a unique and unforgettable experience. One tip for readers: if you read Immortal Dark a while ago, it’s worth reviewing a synopsis before diving into Eternal Ruin. Book two throws you straight into the thick of things, which is fantastic, but there are plenty of small details from book one that might have slipped your mind. Personally, I plan to reread both books before book three comes out because the details and connections in these stories add so much color and depth when they’re fresh in your memory. Honestly, there’s nothing I can say negatively about this book—it’s wonderful, deep, and emotionally intense. There are crazy connections, heartbreaking moments, and I’m both thrilled and a little scared for what book three is going to bring.
