Review

This book kicks off with a string of disasters so absurdly funny that you can't help but laugh, even as you feel for the main character. She’s having the worst day ever—losing her job, her relationship falling apart, and impulsively hopping on a flight across the country, desperate for a fresh start. But fate (or maybe just bad luck) isn’t done with her yet. The stranger seated next to her on the plane sparks an undeniable connection—one so strong she convinces herself she must be imagining it. Fast forward a bit, and she discovers that meeting wasn’t random at all. He’s actually tied to her life in a way she never saw coming, thanks to her sister and her soon-to-be brother-in-law. And just like that, she can’t seem to shake this guy… not that she’s sure she wants to.

Their romance takes off like a whirlwind, full of chemistry, banter, and that perfect mix of heart and humor. I was completely hooked on their dynamic, rooting for them every step of the way. The characters felt so real, their interactions so effortless, that I found myself fully immersed in their story. I’ve known of Piper Lawson for a while but hadn’t picked up any of her books before this. Let’s just say my instincts were spot on—her writing style pulled me in immediately, and now I’m officially a fan. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!
