Review
How would you handle being accused of murder via popular opinions? Your hometown thinks you did it, the cops didn't have enough evidence to file charges, and you have told everyone you don't have a recollection of that night? And what if this case, the one that drove you to run from the only life you have ever known, it the new subject of a true crime podcast? Would you help the creator of the podcast or would you keep your distance. Would you want the truth to come out? The journey to these answers are discovered within the pages of this story. Told through dual POVs (one of which is a podcast) the tale unfolds organically, allowing you to uncover the truth as if you were also a character within the pages.
"Listen for the Lie" is my first experience with Amy Tintera, as well as her first step into the adult/thriller genre and I'm excited to see what she comes up with next.
Additional Thoughts
I read part of this as an eBook, then I moved over to audio. I feel the audiobook is the perfect format for this book as the dual POV includes a podcast as one of the POVs. Hearing the podcast instead of reading it added a dynamic to the story I wasn't expecting.
