Review
I originally DNFd the book due to the amount of cringy verbiage in the beginning. After a friend pushed through, I was persuaded and went back to it. There are some true cringe worthy lines in the book, but overall, it's not as bad as I first thought. The story is interesting, the spice is adequate if you can get past the cringy lines, and the cliffhanger made me glad I could jump in to the second book.
Note: I am including my original DNF review below...
I read a variety of spicy books with a wide range of language so usually word usage doesn’t get to me... but when nipples are described as antennae needing to pull in electricity and it’s not cyborg smut, I’m out.
The descriptions felt like it was trying to be overly descriptive (using a thesaurus for forcing alliteration) to the detriment of the story. I wanted to like this, but it was just not for me.
