I’ve been a fan of Meghan Quinn for about a year now, and every single book I’ve read from her has had me laughing out loud — but Merry Christmas, You Filthy Animal takes the crown as the funniest rom-com I’ve ever experienced. From start to finish, I was in absolute stitches. The full cast of narrators, many of whom also worked on How My Neighbors Saved Christmas, did an incredible job of bringing this story to life. There’s just something magical about a full cast — it makes the world feel so real that even the best solo narrators can’t quite compare.
I lost count of how many times I had to stop eating or drinking because I was laughing too hard to function. The way the narrator breaks the fourth wall and directly addresses the listener adds such a unique layer of fun, and when the main male character turns around and talks to the narrator (but not to us), it’s comedic gold. This book was pure joy from beginning to end and has officially cemented itself as one of my all-time favorite rom-coms. If you’re looking for something that will keep you grinning, snorting, and laughing out loud, you need to pick this one up.
