Review

Though I was invested in the story and characters from the first book, it wasn’t until the last 25% that I really got sucked into the plot this time. I saw her falling back in love with him, but I didn’t see it coming that the vault was a portal to their homeland - though the signs were there… and I did’t see it coming that her and Grim were married - that left me shocked… and the necklace, that’s their “wedding ring”! Hopefully a 3rd book will come along and we’ll learn more of this mysterious original home… and more of the curse the binds the citizens to their rulers and keeps them weaker.
