Review

This book has been such a roller coaster of both interest and disinterest. The writing is good, but there were many parts the failed to hold my attention. The use of magic both by those infected and those who were not is interesting in how it's done, and the story is compelling. I am vested in what happens in the second book, but this isn't one that I would widely recommend as anyone with a short attention span I feel would struggle to stay engaged.
