The Demigod Complex was such a fun and fast-paced read that put a fresh spin on the classic demigod trope. Castor, son of Zeus, has always been irresistible to mortals, which makes his new assistant Lyleia the perfect choice—she’s a water nymph who should, in theory, be immune to his charms. Of course, things don’t go quite as planned. Lyleia does a fantastic job of keeping her walls up, but when Castor asks her to be his plus-one at a wedding, the dynamic between them shifts and sparks begin to fly.
What follows is a playful, steamy, and flirtatious story that leans into the fun of their chemistry while still keeping the pacing light and enjoyable. From the “one-bed” hotel room trope to the undeniable pull between them, this novella delivers everything I want in a quick, flirty fantasy romance. It’s a great setup for the series, and now I’m even more excited to dive into the other stories and see what kind of adventures the next demigods bring.
