Review

There’s honestly not enough love in the world to express how much I enjoyed this book. I adored book one, ReWitched, and gave it five stars, but this one went even further and stole my heart completely. What I loved most was how the main character, who seemed so perfect on the outside, was really just playing a role. She was using her magic as a kind of armor, hiding the struggles she didn’t even realize she had. Because she feels this constant need to be perfect, to say “yes” to everything, she ends up taking on a challenge that is much more than she bargained for. Watching her journey as she’s paired with a teenager who can see right through her magical glamour was fascinating. For the first time, she had to face what it meant for someone to see the real her, flaws and all.

What really struck me was the depth of her character. On the surface, it might seem shallow that she used her magic to polish herself into a Mary Poppins–like figure. But as the story unfolds, you realize she’s so much more than that. Her willingness to set her insecurities aside and focus on guiding this teenager shows her true heart, and it’s incredibly moving. Add in a charming new character who becomes a love interest, and the story blossoms even more. I loved that the romance wasn’t the main focus but still played such an important role in the narrative—it felt like a hidden treasure tucked inside the plot. This book is fun, uplifting, and emotionally rich, and it reminded me why I love this series so much. Without hesitation, this is another solid five-star read for me, and I cannot recommend it enough. If you want a story that blends magic, heart, and just the right touch of romance, this one is a must-read.
