Getting On With Gargoyles is everything I didn’t know I needed—cozy fantasy, spicy moments, quirky charm, and so much heart, all wrapped up in one delightfully farfetched package. The story feels like a warm, spicy hug from a monster boyfriend who lives just down the street in a slightly off-kilter version of our world. It gave me serious “Halloween Town, but make it adult” vibes, and I loved every second of it. The modern setting blended with magical creatures made the entire thing feel like an escapist dream. Sure, it leans into the unbelievable, but that’s the whole appeal of monster romance—you’re meant to suspend reality and fall head over heels for something a little unusual.
The characters were absolutely lovable and surprisingly relatable, even with their wings, horns, and supernatural quirks. I was so drawn into this story that I had to actively stop myself from diving straight into the next book—I’ve got a stack of ARCs to get through first! But believe me, the rest of this series is calling my name, and I can’t wait to revisit this magical world. It’s sweet, uplifting, a little spicy, and full of whimsy—a perfect cozy read with a monstrous twist.
