This book was fantastic—heart-pounding, spicy, motorcycles, secrets… basically all of my favorite things woven into one addictive story. We follow a socialite who desperately wants to take over her father’s company, but he refuses to let her anywhere near the real decision-making. When her boyfriend takes her out on what she thinks will be a romantic walk, everything goes straight to hell in a handbasket. They get held up, he completely panics, and—yes—he actually runs away and leaves her there. I was just as stunned as the guy holding them up, who’s basically like, “Did that really just happen?” and then decides, nope, I’m taking you home.
From there, it becomes exactly the kind of love story I love the most. He’s grumpy, rough around the edges, and absolutely not what she’s used to—and she’s instantly drawn to him anyway. As they spend more time together, they start unraveling what’s really going on around them, including some pretty big truths he’s been hiding. The emotional twists, the tension, and the constant sense that something bigger is lurking made this feel like a full-throttle roller coaster… or maybe a motorcycle ride 😉 Either way, I was locked in from start to finish and I cannot wait to jump into book two.
