Review
Either the holiday romances are extra magical this year or I’m deep in my holiday reading era, because Good Spirits absolutely nailed the cozy, festive vibes I wanted. This story follows the Ghost of Christmas Past, whose job is to guide his newest assignment toward recognizing her faults so she can move on to the next spirit. Except… the more time he spends with her, the more he realizes she might not actually have anything to atone for. Watching him question everything he knows about his purpose while growing unexpectedly attached to her gave this whole book such a warm, emotional edge.
The holiday charm is turned up high, the chemistry is spot-on, and the spice level hits that perfect sweet spot without taking over the story. There’s plenty of heart, plenty of humor, and plenty of festive magic woven through every scene. Honestly, this book gave me everything I was hoping for — a little whimsy, a little heat, and a lot of emotion — and then went above and beyond. If this is where my holiday reading streak is headed, I’m not complaining.
