From the moment I met Conor in book one, I just knew his story was going to be a standout—and I was right! This book perfectly captures how two people can get under each other’s skin, pushing buttons in all the best (and sometimes most frustrating) ways. It really highlights how overcoming personal hang-ups about love and vulnerability can completely change the course of a relationship. Sure, this is a familiar trope in romance, but I never get tired of it. There’s something so relatable about watching characters struggle through their emotions, knowing that in real life, so many people need to face those same internal battles to move forward.
One of the things I love about Piper Rayne’s writing is how effortlessly they create characters that feel real, flawed, and easy to connect with. Just like with every other book in this series, I found myself rooting for the characters, feeling their struggles, and celebrating their moments of growth. There’s something special about seeing these themes explored over and over again, with different authors and characters bringing their own spin to the journey of love and self-discovery. I absolutely cannot wait for the final book in the series—I just know it’s going to be an emotional ride!
