Review

The Tea Dragon Society is an incredibly charming and heartwarming tale, beautifully weaving themes of friendship, personal growth, and the importance of traditions. It’s remarkable how much is packed into this small, enchanting book. I can easily see it becoming a beloved read for parents and children alike, with new lessons to uncover as children grow.

For the very young, the captivating concept of dragons with tea leaves growing from their antlers is sure to spark their imaginations. As they get older, they might start relating to Minette and her journey of overcoming fears of forgetting her way. Eventually, they’ll connect with the deep friendships between the characters and gain a greater appreciation for the traditions shared in the story—perhaps even drawing parallels to their own family traditions.

The addition of the handbook at the end, with its thoughtful explanations of the dragons and the Tea Dragon Society itself, was a delightful touch. This book has not only earned a place on my shelf, but I’ll also be gifting the entire set to new parents, hoping it sparks similar connections between them and their children.
