Review
There’s something about a cozy, beautifully written vampire story set against an autumn backdrop that just works—and Fangs Divide Us is no exception. In this world, vampires have been exiled to a distant island, and any discovered in the remaining lands are executed on sight. Most manage to survive by blending in, but their emotions are their greatest risk, since strong feelings can cause their fangs to appear at the worst possible moments. That constant tension adds such an interesting layer to the story and kept me fully invested from the start.
We follow Millicent Layne, a young vampire in hiding, and Ellis Dacre, a human whose path collides with hers thanks to fate and circumstance. Together, they set out to find Ellis’s missing best friend, Carolyn—a lycan—and what begins as a search quickly turns into something much bigger. Secrets unravel, truths come to light, and a conspiracy emerges that threatens everything they think they understand about their world. I truly loved this book, and the audiobook especially brought the atmosphere and characters to life in a way that made it even more immersive. I can’t wait to continue with the rest of this series.
