Review

"The Wren in the Holly Library" twists together a world of fantasy into modern society where some, but not all, of the supernatural is known to the general public. A young woman has lived her life doing what needs to be done to survive, making a name for herself within certain circles and endearing herself to her found family. When things take a turn for the worst, she does her best to protect her family while finding a way to end on top of their situation. Uncovering the truth of her dangerous benefactor she needs to decide if she will trust her heart or her instincts. I enjoyed seeing the story unveil itself and the secrets come to light regarding the true history of the world these characters live in and their part in it, especially the way that science and the supernatural come together to explain the unexplainable within this world and to weave together science faction with fantasy and the supernatural.
