Cute, wholesome, a little teen-angsty, and a whole lot of Korean culture is found between the pages of Axis Oh's 'XOXO'. A tale that starts in LA, jumps to Korea and ends in Manhattan it's an international cozy romance that will keep you smiling from start to finish. You get to know the main character, Jenny, her family (mom, grandmother, and non-biological uncle), as well as a found family in South Korea, and the members of a K-pop group - one of which being her love interest from a chance encounter in LA. Following her heart or following her aspirations to be a concert cellist seem to be the only two options out there - she can't possibly find a way to get everything she wants, can she? Hopefully you enjoy the ride as much as I did! Oh, and don't read this on an empty stomach - a side benefit of this book are the references to all the amazing Korean food that you may be searching to find, locally!
