Review

This book offered a refreshing twist on the typical fae-human dynamic, presenting a world where both realms exist separately yet are fully aware of each other. However, unlike many fae stories where the fae are seen as the dominant race, this one flips the script—humans look down on fae society, viewing them as inferior. The story follows an ambitious human author who, despite societal biases, chooses to write about the fae and travels to one of their islands to immerse themselves in their world. What unfolds is a fascinating exploration of culture, prejudice, and discovery, wrapped in an engaging and addictive narrative.

Fun, flirty, and laced with spice, this book kept me hooked from start to finish. The unique worldbuilding and role reversal made for a fresh and intriguing read, while the characters brought plenty of charm and chemistry to the story. The writing was immersive, effortlessly blending romance, wit, and deeper themes. I absolutely loved this take on the fae genre and can’t wait to see what the author does next!
