From the little bit I’d heard about Belladonna over the past couple of years, I already had a feeling it would be completely my vibe. Meeting Adalyn Grace at a signing recently just sealed the deal, and honestly, I’m thrilled that my instincts were spot-on. Watching Signa slowly step into her own was such a satisfying journey. She starts out so closed off—isolated, unsure who to trust, and carrying these abilities she barely understands. But page by page, she grows into her emotions, her power, and her identity. Seeing her learn what she’s capable of and how she wants to use it made her character arc feel incredibly rewarding.
Her relationships are where the story really shines. The way her dynamic with Death shifts? Absolutely fascinating. And her growing bond with her cousins and uncle adds this really grounding, heart-forward layer about trust, belonging, and rebuilding what was broken. Everyone’s healing in their own way, and watching those connections strengthen felt so meaningful. I’m genuinely excited to see where the trilogy heads next—not just for Signa and Death (because yes, I need more of that), but also for whatever comes next for her place in this family. I have a feeling Book Two is going to take her back to her ancestral home, and I cannot wait to follow her there.
