Review
This was such a fun, lighthearted read that transported me straight into a year in Italy alongside a young nanny looking for a much-needed break. With her business degree waiting for her back home and the pressure of expectations weighing heavily on her, she sees this escape as a small window of freedom before returning to the future she has resigned herself to. The charm of Italy, the joy of discovery, and the warmth of her daily adventures made this story such a delightful and easy read.
That being said, I couldn’t help but notice that her relationship throughout the book had more than a few red flags that stood out to me. While it didn’t take away from the overall experience, it definitely added a layer of tension beneath the otherwise breezy narrative. Still, the writing was so engaging and vibrant that I found myself fully immersed, and I’m genuinely excited to see what else this author has in store for future works.
