Review
In this third installment of 'The Bonds that Tie' we watch the characters grow even further as more of their personalities, and plots, come to light. We learn more about North, and his long-term plans that were inherited from his uncle before him, and the reason for escalating them... showing more of his character than we've gotten to learn of his before. We also get glimpses of the reason for Nox's actions, and distance, as well as learning more about his bond and how it interacts with Oli.
Throughout the book we see Oli continue to grow, as a person, as a friend, as well as a bond. We learn more about what happened during her time in captivity as well as some unwitting assistance she didn't know she'd been receiving during her years on the run.
The multiple points of view help further the story from the eyes of the various characters and allow a view into their inner monologue we wouldn't have access to otherwise - I appreciate that the POV switches continue to be titled.
