At this point, I feel like a broken record with the Plain Daisy Ranch series, because every single time a new book comes out, I’m convinced this one is my favorite. And once again, Piper Rayne proved me right. I absolutely fell for these characters and the whirlwind way they first came together. Getting singled out of a crowd by a rock star heartthrob and brought backstage? Total dream scenario—and that’s exactly how this story kicks off. A few backstage moments turn into being flown out to join the tour… until suddenly, she’s no longer on the list and completely shut out without an explanation.

Of course, that’s not where the story ends—because then we wouldn’t have a book. One pregnancy test and one very inconvenient (or maybe perfectly timed?) music video shoot later, and everything gets flipped upside down. As the story unfolds, we finally get clarity on why things ended the way they did, complete with miscommunication, emotional growth, and a whole lot of heart. Watching both characters mature and work through the past made this love story feel big, emotional, and honestly written in the stars.
