Apparently, I have a real soft spot for the cowboy, single dad, second-chance romance combo—because this book completely swept me away. From the moment she returns to town, you can feel the tension and emotion simmering beneath every interaction. Both characters are carrying the weight of their past, but what I loved most is that their journey wasn’t about drama for the sake of drama. There’s no unnecessary third-act breakup here—just two people genuinely trying to rebuild trust and heal old wounds while navigating all the messy, beautiful parts of love and forgiveness.
Their story arc felt so real and heartfelt, and the family dynamics added so much depth. The way the author weaves the symbolism of strawberries throughout the book made it even more special—it tied everything together in such a sweet and meaningful way. I closed the last page both satisfied and already counting down the days until book two releases. If the next installment brings even half the heart this one did, it’s going to be another hit.
