Review
Many books explore fantastical creatures, the overcoming of obstacles, and self-discovery, but "The Daughter of the Moon Goddess" achieves this through the natural growth of its main character. The story follows a young girl who must flee the only home she has ever known due to a secret her mother has kept from her. During her escape, she encounters the very people she was running from, but she hides her identity and gets the chance to be educated alongside the son of her pursuers. From schooling to joining the army, facing creatures, and overcoming daunting challenges, she discovers more about herself and her desires. Throughout her journey, she forms strong friendships and develops romantic interests. This tale is not just about romantic love but also the love between friends and family. The book is beautifully written, and I eagerly anticipate reading the rest of the series.
