Review

Dark secrets, a potentially haunted manor house and a filthy rich family of brothers come together to weave the opening tale of Midnight Manor. In this Beauty and the Beast reimagining, "Moonlit Thorns" introduces us to the Asher Voss, one of the four Voss brothers, and Anabelle, a neighbor who goes to Asher for help, and strike a bargain that will end up changing her forever.

One of my favorite literary pieces of this book was figuring out which characters were a reimagining from the traditional Beauty and the Beast and seeing those more, traditional, scenes play out in my memory while going through the book.

Adding in quite a bit of spice and one of my favorite childhood tales turns into one of my favorite adult books.

Piper Rayne has managed to weave together intrigue, mystery, multiple plots (some of which are unresolved and set the perfect stage for book 2), and characters that draw you in, from chapter one. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.
