Review
An overly sheltered young woman who ran from love because of her belief in lies is the catalyst for this dark, suspenseful, Rapunzel reimagining in the second book in the "Midnight Manor" series. This time we get to know a different Voss brother, Kole, and the focus of his obsession, Rhapsody. Their past is not just their history but also a hurdle in their relationship that must be dealt with.
Once again, Mama Voss' presence leads the main characters to one another when they might have otherwise gone astray and the hidden secrets of what happens one Saturday night per month is again the thing that could tear them apart or bring them closer together.
Dark, steamy, fairytale reimagining with a morally grey hero, and a splash or paranormal is the recipe for being hooked on this tale.
I have quickly fallen for the Voss brothers, and their leading ladies, and I'm excitedly waiting for the 3rd book in the series to be available.
