I highly recommend rereading Psycho Shifters before jumping into Psycho Fae if you don’t clearly remember everything that happened—because I didn’t, and I truly wish I had. This book throws our alphas straight into the brutal Fae Games, where survival isn’t just about enduring deadly physical trials, but also about withstanding the emotional fallout of secrets stacked on secrets. Some are being kept from each other, others are being kept from us, and the tension that creates is relentless in the best way.
Like all great fantasy stories, this one is layered—deeply and intentionally. Some threads get pulled apart here, while others are very clearly being set up for explosive reveals later. Jasmine Mas is just so good at this. I love the way she builds her characters, the way information is withheld from both the characters and the reader, and then unleashed all at once. Nothing is ever a slow, gentle reveal—it’s always an all-out sensory explosion. And yes, we end on yet another cliffhanger, so prepare yourself. I’m honestly thrilled the next book is re-releasing in just a few months, because I need answers. I’m genuinely considering reading the previous iteration before the re-release because I cannot stand not knowing what happens next.
