Review
I accidentally jumped into book five of this series without realizing it, and while I could tell I was missing some context—especially with the side characters—it didn’t stop me from loving every minute of it. The story still stands strong on its own, but the background threads made me want to go back and read books one through four after I finished. I was already so invested in the world and these characters that I knew I needed the full picture. That’s how hooked I was.
What really stood out was the spark between the main characters. There’s definitely an element of insta-love, but not because of the pregnancy—they felt that connection and heat right away, even though they both tried hard to fight it. What made this story special for me was how they each struggled with the fear that their feelings weren’t fully returned. That emotional vulnerability, mixed with a fresh take on the surprise pregnancy trope and some juicy best man drama, kept me totally engaged. It’s spicy, sweet, and surprisingly heartfelt. I can’t wait to see more from this world.
