"The Coworker" is yet another knockout thriller from the talented Freida McFadden, proving once again why she’s a staple on my list of favorite authors. Right from the start, I found myself confidently predicting the story's direction, only to be taken aback time and again as the plot twisted in unexpected—yet totally expected—ways, as McFadden’s works always do. She skillfully peels back the layers of the narrative like an onion, revealing deeper secrets and complexities with each turn of the page. The surprises kept coming, and I gasped out loud more than once, a testament to her ability to craft suspense and deliver the kind of shocking reveals that keep readers on the edge of their seats. This novel exemplifies why McFadden remains a master of her craft.
