Review

This book had me absolutely frustrated in the best way possible, and I mean that in the most complimentary sense! Miscommunication, or rather the lack of communication, is a central theme, and it really drives the entire plot. The characters' inability to open up to each other and share their thoughts creates so much tension, but in a way that felt relatable and real. I could easily connect with both characters, albeit for different reasons, and I truly appreciated how uniquely they complemented each other. They were clearly perfect for one another, but their blind spots kept them from seeing it—at least until the very end.

What I loved most were the moments where they were utterly oblivious to the obvious. Everyone around them could see what was right in front of them, yet they remained completely blind to it. Their reactions—confusion, frustration, and disbelief—were incredibly endearing and almost funny. It was as though I was screaming at the pages, wanting to shake some sense into them, but that's part of what made the story so compelling.

This book had me hooked from start to finish. Abby Jimenez’s writing has solidified my admiration for her work, and it's clear that she has a unique way of crafting characters and relationships that feel both raw and heartwarming. If you’re a fan of love stories that make you laugh, cry, and occasionally want to yell at the characters to get their act together, this is definitely the book for you. It’s a beautiful reminder of how love, patience, and communication can transform even the most frustrating situations into something meaningful.
