Review

The Spice Cocoa Café is such a delightful read! I do wish I had picked it up a bit closer to the holiday season—maybe right after Halloween—but mid-October works too, especially since the cozy, festive vibes in this book are impossible to resist. If you’re easing into the holiday season and crave a feel-good romance, this is absolutely the book for you. I have to admit, as a fellow chocoholic, I found myself craving chocolate the entire time! The descriptions of the handmade chocolates in Coco’s shop and the hot cocoa recipe handed down from her family were so vivid that I could almost taste every bite. It really added an extra layer of warmth and charm to the story.

What truly made this book a joy for me was the dynamic between the characters. There’s just the right amount of playful antagonism—thanks to the decorating competition between local shop owners—mixed with budding friendships and romance that kept me engaged from start to finish. I also really appreciated the subtle mystery thread woven into the story; it added depth and kept me guessing while still feeling light and fun. The resolution was both hilarious and satisfying, and it all came together perfectly. Overall, this book is uplifting, heartwarming, and an absolute treat for the holiday season. I can totally see myself returning to it year after year.
